Capra PR believes in the pure power of PR

Janelle Capra is the Owner, Founder and CEO of Capra PR, a public relations firm located in Bakersfield, California. She has spent more than twenty years working with media, non-profits and community-minded organizations. Ms. Capra started her career working in local television and quickly found her gift to “share the good news” to help organizations get the media attention they deserve.

Janelle’s work highlights include: Director of Station Promotions for KBAK/KBFX where she launched Fox Kids Club, Community Relations Director for KGET-TV 17 where she helped non-profits share their message through special events and PSA’s, Director of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, where she fundraised to establish the first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Kern County and Chapter President (2012-2014) of the Bakersfield Chapter of National Association of Professional Women where she hosted Star Jones’ first visit to local chapters.

In 2013, she was invited by Arianna Huffington to join the Huffington Post as a blogger and now often blogs about The Third Metric, Parenting, Working Moms and most recently about her mother’s dementia/Alzheimer’s. Janelle is current board president for ADAKC, a founding member of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Miracle Society & President’s Circle, major gift consultant for Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House, governing board member of Mendiburu Magic Foundation and supporter of Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference.
